The Violent Crime Reduction Operations Guide was produced in partnership between the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Majors Cities Chiefs Association. The Major Cities Chiefs Association is a professional association of Chiefs and Sheriffs representing the largest cities in the United States and Canada. This guide provides information and resources law enforcement leaders can use to implement violent crime fighting strategies in their departments.

DALLAS POLICE DEPARTMENT 2020 VIOLENT CRIME REDUCTION PLAN
In 2019, Dallas experienced a rise in violent crime, so the mayor ordered that the police department design a plan to reduce violent crime. The result was the Dallas Police Department 2020 Violent Crime Reduction Plan. This plan includes crime statistics, goals, objectives, and performance metrics.

NATIONAL RESOURCE AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER FOR IMPROVING LAW ENFORCEMENT INVESTIGATIONS – GUN VIOLENCE/VIOLENT CRIME REDUCTION STRATEGIES
The National Resource and Technical Assistance Center for Improving Law Enforcement Investigations is a training and technical assistance center created in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Assistance to improve law enforcement investigations.
