The Osage Nation is a Midwestern American Indian nation of the Great Plains with a 2017 population of 47,350. The Osage people refer to themselves in their Dhegihan Siouan language as (ππ°ππ°ππ·β, Wazhazhe, ‘Middle Waters’).
The Osage Nation will use FY24 PACT funding to create a Crisis Intervention Response team. The Osage Nation Police Department (ONPD) will collaborate with the Osage Nation Health Systemβs (ONHS) Counseling Center, ONHS Primary Residential Treatment Center, and ONHS Prevention Program to ensure all entities join forces for the physical, mental and safety of all of the citizens in the service area. The PACT COPS funding will allow ONPD to put professional care coordinators licensed in mental and behavioral health on contract. Cohort 2024.
Program Goals
