The Miami-Dade Police Department, representing Miami-Dade County, seeks to bolster and replicate the nationwide initiatives for crisis response evolution. This endeavor involves integrating licensed clinicians into the newly established Crisis Response Unit. By augmenting initial responses and enhancing outcomes, particularly for individuals grappling with mental health challenges or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, the initiative aims to redefine crisis intervention strategies. Cohort 2023.
