Putnam County proposes to pioneer a transformative collaboration between the County Department of Mental Health, Social Services, and Youth Bureau to support individuals in crisis. Through this initiative, a Police and Mental Health Co-Response Team aims to be established and operationalized, marking a progressive step towards holistic intervention. A thorough internal needs assessment underscores the need for a dedicated mental health clinician to partner with law enforcement throughout Putnam County.
