Southern University and A&M College strives to enhance support for the HBCU campus community by ensuring 24/7 access to mental health crisis intervention support. This involves augmenting their SUPD staff with mental health specialists and providing training for both sworn and non-sworn CIT members. Specifically, the initiative aims to introduce after-hours crisis response services and provide a dedicated vehicle for this purpose. Cohort 2023.
