Fridley is a city in Anoka County and is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area as an inner ring suburb with a population of 29,500.
The City of Fridley, a vibrant Minneapolis suburb, boasts a diverse population and rapid growth; however, it faces challenges such as above-average crime rates, below-average income levels, and a high volume of mental health-related calls, often from repeat 911-users. To address these pressing issues, the City of Fridley Public Safety Department seeks to hire a dedicated full-time mental health professional who will respond with police officers in a co-response model. Together, they will intervene in crises, provide immediate support, and ensure long-term follow-up and resolution for individuals in need. Cohort 2023.
