Clackamas County, OR

Clackamas is Oregon’s third-most populous county, with nearly 421,000 residents. The cities of Portland and Tualatin extend into Clackamas County from Multnomah and Washington counties respectively.

Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) houses the Probation and Parole (PO) office, which works closely with the Mental Health Clinician employed as part of its effort to improve outcomes for those experiencing mental health conditions.   Cohort 2021.

Program Goals

The grant funding allows the CCSO Probation/Parole Division to accomplish the following goals:

  • Embed a Mental Health Clinician, Case Manager, and Peer support specialist in the PO office
  • Provide mental health assessment in the PO office and/or in the field when needed
  • Provided additional mental health case management to clients on supervision
  • Provide community response to crisis
  • Expand mental health services provided to the community while reducing the burden on local law enforcement officers
