While Page County Sheriff’s Office takes pride in employing law enforcement officers trained in crisis intervention, the agency strives to expand its response services. Cohort 2022.

Program Goals

The agency plans to use the grant funding to hire two crisis intervention/mental health specialists. The role of the specialists includes responding to calls for service at the request of law enforcement, supporting deputies, assisting with de-escalation, providing mental health referrals and follow-up with high utilizers.

Other goals include:

  • All employees complete either the 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team course or Mental Health First Aid
