January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a time to highlight the importance of recognizing and addressing human trafficking in our communities. This initiative reinforces the need to equip law enforcement with the necessary skills to identify and respond to trafficking indicators.
Over the past 27 years, NCPI has proudly collaborated with public safety organizations to develop impactful learning opportunities that enhance law enforcement’s ability to respond to the evolving challenges of keeping our communities safe. As part of this ongoing effort, NCPI is committed to enhancing law enforcement training through our long-standing partnership with the COPS Office and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In this collaboration, NCPI is developing a specialized 2-hour eLearning course to help officers identify human trafficking during routine traffic stops, which will serve as a critical resource in the fight against this crime. NCPI Connect, our FREE eLearning resource library, offers essential training and provides officers nationwide with high-quality resources to better prepare them to serve their communities.
