We are honored to welcome the 2024 COPS Office PACT grantees into the CIT ASSIST Community of Practice. This month’s introductory meeting marked the beginning of their experience with NCPI as they work to implement programs aimed at improving responses to mental health crises in their communities. With more than 100 agencies across the country engaged in this initiative, NCPI is committed to fostering collaborative learning and networking opportunities to drive meaningful change.
Last year, we launched a series of on-demand courses and resources in partnership with the COPS Office and CIT International as part of the CIT ASSIST program. These FREE courses provide essential training, insights, and practical guidance for law enforcement, advocacy groups, mental and behavioral health professionals, and other community stakeholders committed to improving crisis response. These resources are available to everyone, and to date, more than 4,700 professionals have accessed these resources—make sure to take a look!
Available courses and resources include:
- Crisis Intervention: Overview of Effective Models
- Crisis Intervention First Look: Focused Response for Youth
- Crisis Intervention First Look: Focused Response for Veterans
