“The value of our CIT Program cannot be overstated. Many members of our community, and Police Department benefit through our program. This is either by direct contact with our CIT Program, or indirectly, when friends, loved ones, and neighbors get the assistance they need. The relationships that are built in the community provide valuable knowledge of individuals, and trust with our responders. These factors increase the likelihood of a successful Crisis Intervention.”
