Providing Protective Order Notifications through Virginia VINE

For the past 18 years, NCPI has administered and expanded the Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) program in Virginia.

In the summer of 2024, the VINE Protective Order (VPO) enhancement was officially launched with a public event in Portsmouth, VA, marking a significant advancement in the VINE program and a new level of support for individuals who use the service.

Led by Senator L. Louise Lucas, Lynda Schwartz, NCPI’s Executive Director, and Amy Sheets, NCPI’s VINE Program Manager, the event provided an opportunity for law enforcement and court personnel, victim advocates, and other VINE stakeholders in attendance to experience a detailed demonstration of the VPO enhancement’s functionality and its profound impact on those it will serve.

Also present at the launch were members of the Virginia State Police, whose partnership was vital in bringing this important enhancement to VA VINE.
